Fiction[edit | edit source]

Challenge of the GoBots cartoon[edit | edit source]

The Last Engineer began work on the Power Suit system before his planned flight to Antares III. The Master Renegade took his ship and the Last Engineer went into hibernation soon afterwards. However when the Last Engineer was revived by the Guardians and fled to Earth he was able to use UNECOM's resources to make the system a reality, and a prototype with a speed boost was tested by Leader-1 shortly afterwards. Flight to Earth The Last Engineer also made three more suits - one with greatly increased firepower, one with a wide array of scanners and one with telekinesis that were trialled by Turbo, Small Foot and Scooter respectively, allowing them to round up the spying Renegades Crasher, Fitor and Destroyer. The Suits were then used on the Guardians' assault on Roguestar but didn't really make too much of a difference - Small Foot only detected the Monster GoBots' ship seconds before it shot her down, Leader-1 only remembered to use his speed booster to try and save her and got shot down, and Scooter only remembered to use the telekinesis to save them but got shot down. Thankfully the Last Engineer showed up soon afterwards onboard Courageous and the Suits combined with the ship to form a Power Warrior, sending the Renegades into retreat. Return to GoBotron

After that Courageous swiftly became the Guardians' go-to big gun for dealing with outsize threats. When A.J. uncovered the construction of Ultra Zod in Waldron and the Guardians were unable to stop the monster from being activated Leader-1, Scooter, Turbo and Rest-Q manned the Power Suits. Courageous was able to match Ultra Zod and then blast the ground out from underneath the robot, exposing the weak spot on its' belly and allowing its' destruction.Ultra Zod Similarly, when UNECOM's Sentinel robot decided to extinguish all life on Earth the Guardians again called the Power Suits to Earth. With Leader-1, Turbo, Blaster and Heat Seeker onboard Courageous was able to match the genocidal machine until the Guardians were able to trick it into chasing the Renegades off into space.Sentinel

Courageous' power was enough that Cy-Kill decided to devise a direct counter in the form of Puzzler, which could split into six independent robots which were disguised as cars and sold to unsuspecting humans by Larry E. Cocoa. Unfortunately his domineering wife Hilda took possession of the Puzzlers' remote. As such Leader-1, Turbo and Staks were able to keep the out-of-control giant contained until Path Finder arrived with the Power Suits, and Courageous made short work of the Puzzler.Auto Madic Courageous' reputation among the Renegades was so formidable that even Scooter projecting a hologram of the Power Warrior caused chaos in their ranks. Tarnished Image When Doctor Eiji Tsuburaya's modified monsters Ichigar, Jerigan and Kaitudan attacked Tokyo under Cy-Kill's controls the Power Suits were again called up, with Blaster and Hans-Cuff joining Leader-1 and Turbo. While Courageous was only able to distract the monsters from further carnage it bought time for a repentant Tsuburaya to sedate the creatures.Destroy All Guardians

    • Guardian Armored Robot
    • Parts: Spaceship, GB-P1, GB-P2, GB-P3, GP-P4, Fist (2), Rocket Pod Foot (2), Blaster stock, Blaster barrel, small Blasters (2)
The Courageous Power Warrior giftset includes all components necessary to complete the Power Warrior. The arms and legs are interchangeable, and the various parts can still hold a GoBot when combined. The arms held in place by rails and the lower legs with spring-loaded clips. The smaller blasters can combine with the two parts of the larger gun to combine into a single weapon, or be attached to the robot's ankles. The colour scheme was exclusive to the North American market, and it is one of the few GoBots toys to feature the Guardian faction insignia.
Courageous was simultaneously issued in Renegade colours as Grungy in the same assortment (#7322).
