Synopsis[edit | edit source]

BattleHackersE08-40.jpg

Garzack, Hot Rod Joe, F-One Jack and Akira's Jet Riser are pinned down by a huge force of Teppodaman and Sitappa Gurendos troops. Akira tries to take off to act as a distraction but is hit; Garzack drops his Garfire-SP gun and tries to stop him but the pair fall down a crevice to their seeming destruction. Sorikondar is delighted while Suji spots Garzack's gun and picks it up, at which point his commander promptly takes it for himself - much to Suji's annoyance. In the chasm Garzack had managed to fire a rope from his wrist on the way down and has Akira's Jet Riser in his grip, and they climb out. After returning to base Garzack misses his gun and is unable to find anything else he likes; the Gattai Saurer team blame Akira for the loss of the Garfire-SP. R. JeTan is more sympathetic but notes that Garzack had a special link with the Garfire-SP just as he does to his R. Bazooka. Garzack tries some target practice with his new gun but it isn't the same. Sorikondar uses the Garfire-SP to make a long-range sniper attack on the Crystal City, hitting a fuel depot and causing a huge explosion.

RIM sounds the alarm, with R. JeTan, Garzack, Rod Drill, Blue Jet and Kempō Robo assembling to find out more information and work out a plan. Examination of Bulldozer Robo, struck by the shot before it hit the depot, shows the shot came from the Garfire-SP. In an attempt to redeem himself Akira sets off in the Jet Riser to recover the weapon, greatly upsetting Garzack. He and the other Battle Hackers set off to try and help Akira, who tries to call Sorikondar out. The Gurendos fires at him at long range, narrowly missing Akira's head and punching a hole straight through the Jet Riser. Playing with his prey, his next shot punctures the Riser Suit's arm but Akira keeps moving towards him and the next goes through the cockpit, injuring the human's shoulder. However, Akira is able to use the information to locate Sorikondar's position and transmit the coordinates to RIM, who relays them to the Battle Hackers. Sorikondar decides to finish Akira off but Hot Rod Joe arrives in time to drive him to safety while Mach Blaster strafes the Gurendos while Drill Crusher, Buggy Wolf and Pro Truck Racer attack on the ground. Sorikondar is confronted by Garzack - who cannot be harmed by the Garfire-SP. He takes the weapon back after kicking Sorikondar away. Garzack decides to give the Gurendos a head start before shooting him in the backside from a distance as he leads a full retreat. Later Garzack thanks Akira before he and R. JeTan start laughing; unknown to the human one of Sorikondar's shots has scorched away a good deal of his hair.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Rod Drill has a mouth occasionally. It's possible he has a retractable faceplate like Mach Blaster, though, and it will be visible for a large proportion of his appearances on the show
