A dangerous mountain rescue is further complicated by Jay's vendetta.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

MRRE08-017SkyRobo.jpg

A voice tells Jay that he was born for the sake of battle and that his purpose is to destroy Machine Robo Rescue. At the base, Alice, Lin and Sayuri are planning a surprise party to congratulate the newly-announced Robo Masters when the team receives an alarm - two mountaineers are in trouble on Himaru Mountain, with communications cut off. Red Wings are scrambled and take the Jet Team out in the Wing Liner. When they arrive Taiyoh ignores Kai's suggestion they ask those at base camp for information in favour of impulsively searching in Jet Robo. Arias finds out a total of four people are trapped on the south face of the mountain. Jet Team begins finding the victims but the climber found by Taiyoh and Bone has a broken leg but they are able to get him into Jet Robo's cockpit. However, Taiyoh's instincts kick in again so he orders Jet to take the injured man down first while he remains to search - eliciting the usual calm reaction from instructor Miyajima, especially when an avalanche starts on the north face of the mountain. Moments later Taiyoh and Bone fall when the ground collapses from under them before Jet can return to the peak. The pair narrowly survive the fall and realise they have landed near the final stranded mountaineer. Everything seems to be going to plan until Jay suddenly emerges and attacks Taiyoh, dispatching Stealth Robo to destroy Jet Robo.

Jay threatens to throw Taiyoh down a crevasse unless he fights him, while Jet can do little but try and invade Stealth's attacks. Taiyoh commands his partner into robot mode in time to narrowly avoid Stealth's Shooting Barrel attack but Jay's assaults make it difficult for the Robo Master to properly concentrate, especially as he is also trying to check on the injured mountaineer. Jay takes his K-BOY and the rest of Machine Robo Rescue finally overhears his presence. Taiyoh is able to get the device back and order Jet into Hyper Mode - with Jay being delighted at the prospect of a fight. While the Jet Puncher attack seems to give Hyper Jet Robo the upper hand Stealth Robo cloaks and avoids the Finger Flash attack and bombards his opponent with laser blasts, sending the Machine Robo falling out of control. However, as Jay orders Stealth Robo to finish him off an avalanche starts. Stealth Robo heads to find Jay, followed by the damaged Hyper Jet Robo. Taiyoh returns his attention to the injured mountaineer and implores Jay to escape - causing the Disasters warrior to pause in surprise before Stealth Robo gets him to safety. At base camp, the rest of the Red Wings lose contact with Taiyoh. After the avalanche settles Arias, Lin and Kai head to his last known location and climb down the crevasse, where they find a battered Hyper Jet Robo digging fervently towards the signal from Taiyoh's K-BOY. They find their team-mate with Bone and the injured mountaineer, battered and cold but unharmed. Back on the Wing Liner Taiyoh tells the rest of Red Wings of his meeting with Jay. The cadets reunite at base, but Taiyoh is too worried about the damage sustained by Jet to celebrate, feeling responsible. Later that evening he slips away from the dormitory with Bone, leaving his K-BOY behind.
