The Oigawas were recruited by Brad Bitou to look after the cadets, with Sakoto acting as the cook for the cadets billeted at Rescue Headquarters' dormitories. Blazing Fire Fighter! She took an early shine to Taiyoh due to his prodigious appetite, and when he stayed late to finish his meal she showed him a shortcut through the building's ducts to the Great Rotating Base, which he promptly used to flatten Musashi Miyajima. Straight Ahead to the Police Spirit! During the MRR open day she and her husband noticed Taiyoh was downcast at the other cadets having some sort of family present to visit them. As such they made a banner to support him in the mock battles between the Machine Robo and thereafter acted as parental figures to the boy, who had lost his own parents in a plane crash four years before. And Taiyoh is Fine! They later attended Charmy Sato's Who's the MVP? awards show. MRR 24 Hours Shee later saw Makoto Aikawa off for his date with Aki Saotome, fussing at the boy's outfit. The Story of Makoto's First Love Sakoto and her husband then took Taiyoh to visit the hot springs at Hinosuke, where Takezo now ran a spa. After MRR and the local brigade worked together to prevent another landslide engulfing the town, Taiyoh and Takezo developed enhanced respect for each other. Takezo was invited to join their strange extended family. Proud Fire Brigade! She first met Jay when the amnesiac boy was brought to Rescue Headquarters and offered to help Zenjiro carry a shipment of food for the cadets. Sakoto rewarded him with a giant onigiri, which he instantly fell in love with. Be Reborn, Jay! She and Zenjiro later attended the welcome party thrown after Jay was inducted into MRR. Daichi's Resolution Later she ran out of salt and Jay had to attempt to interact with the real world by buying some more, which he eventually managed despite a succession of unfortunate setbacks seeing him have to travel to the local supermarket via the Ikaros 1 orbital spaceport. Thankfully he was rewarded with a huge pile of onigiri for his labour. The Greatest Errand of All Time Sakoto and Zenjiro looked on agog as Kaiser-G flew over Rescue Headquarters, towards the centre of Tokyo. A Looming Catastrophe! Later, after preparing the cadets' dress uniforms, they proudly watched both Taiyoh and Jay graduate from MRR. Fly, MRR!

After the foundation of International Hyper Rescue, Zenjiro and Satoko both remained at Rescue Headquarters to take care of the new generation of recruits. Machine Robo Rescue Special - New Year's Day!

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • It is heavily implied that the Oigawas' lack of children was not a choice.
