The Disasters step up their efforts with their own Machine Robo - Stealth Robo.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

MRRE05-017Lin.jpg

The experimental remote-controlled Sky Dolphin cargo aircraft is undergoing testing when a lightning cloud suddenly appears in its' path, blocking the operators' command of the plane. Meanwhile the Machine Robo Rescue cadets are undergoing abseiling practice, though Daichi and Susumu are uncomfortable with the heights involved, though Taiyoh and Lin are much more comfortable. However, the drill is interrupted by an alarm. Lin, having easily completed the descent, scampers ahead to the Machine Robo hangar and boards Jet Robo, though Taiyoh soon follows and the pair squabble. After Lin tells Jet about the threat the aircraft might pose to those on the ground if it crashes he agrees to launch and simply takes both of them along as the other Machine Robo decry Jet's rashness. Team instructor Miyajima is similarly unimpressed, but orders the Fire Team to follow them into action in the Wing Liner. Inside the cloud the Sky Dolphin is struck by a laser fired by Stealth Robo - who is working with Jay - and begins to dive out of control. Stealth Robo meanwhile transforms and prepares to intercept the Jet Team as they enter the cloud.

At Lin's command Jet boards the Sky Dolphin through a cargo hatch, unaware that Stealth Robo is preparing to attack. She and Taiyoh try to get to the controls but Lin is almost blown out of the plane by turbulence, with Taiyoh just managing to grab her before she falls out of the plane. Their second attempt is more successful, and Lin uses her K-BOY to begin correcting the controls of the plane before an error occurs on the craft's computer. At that moment Stealth Robo attacks the Jet Team outside. Taiyoh begins to panic but the Wing Liner has arrived below the cloud, enabling Arias to re-establish communications with the Jet Team. While Jet Robo is able to keep Stealth Robo busy in a dogfight he can do little to fight back until Taiyoh orders the team to switch to Hyper Mode. Below, Kai is able to locate the problem with the Sky Dolphin's controls - damage to an area on the underside of the cockpit from lightning. Instead, the plane will need to be landed manually. Lin takes control and the movement of the plane distracts Stealth Robo, allowing Hyper Jet Robo to use his Jet Puncher attack and knock the Disaster Machine Robo out of the sky. The Wing Liner moves ahead to the airport and stands by. Guided by Jet and with the rest of the team expressing their faith in them, Taiyoh and Lin successfully land the plane despite the front undercarriage collapsing. The cadets are unharmed - beyond Lin sulking that Taiyoh was the one who got to land the plane. The Fire Team make the Sky Dolphin safe as Jet complements the cadets on their flying skills
