Fairchild Robo was on the Techno Planet when a giant monster from the Casmozone appeared above, unleashing an army of Casmodon, Zarios and Falgos monsters. Along with Falcon Robo, Fairchild Robo switched to robot mode and prepared to combat the demon. He donned the P1 Battle Suit and combined with Falcon Robo, Limousine Robo, City Turbo II Robo and Blackbird Robo in the other parts of the Battle Suit System to form Battle Armor 5, which made short work of the Devil Invaders before sealing the Star Gate with a blast of energy. Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Fairchild Robo (1984)
    • ID number: MR-47
    • Accessories: none
Fairchild Robo was the 47th figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II bomber aircraft. While at first glance Fairchild Robo seems to be lacking hands they are in fact etched on the inside of his engine nacelles. A weak point of the figure is the root of the wing, which can wear and make it hard to keep stable in jet mode. Alarmingly, the instructions have a big warning not to pull the legs too far apart.
  • The figure was later issued the GoBots figure Bad Boy and the Robo Machine figure Tank-Bust, with no significant changes. The American version omitted the additional sticker sheet of the Japanese and European versions, meaning it is missing the various jet mode detail markings.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • A prototype version of the figure using a different shade of green and white ordinance was pictured in some catalogues.
