Cuts & changes[edit source]

  • For whatever reason, the traditionally female Spay-C is reimagined—as per Vamp in issue #1—as male. Whether these are isolated incidents, or if every Go-Bot in this continuity (other than Crasher) is male, is as yet unknown."

Being female in 2 or 3 speaking roles in a cartoon and nothing else is not "traditionally".

The presence of Gobotron—home planet of the GoBots in the 1980s cartoon—shouldn't surprise anyone, nor should its unique design. In the original cartoon, the organic planet of "Old GoBotron" was sealed off following an asteroid impact that rendered the planet uninhabitable, forcing the inhabitants to abandon their organic bodies; it's not clear if something similar happened in the comic's universe, though post-Go-Bot rebellion Earth sure looks pretty darn lifeless..."

Generally redundant and a big reach.

The "Trade Federation" delegates that meet with Leader-1 may be named after the organization of the same name from the Star Wars prequels.

-That's a common description made up of two common words.

"* The panel in which Road Ranger first appears in robot mode homages Rob Liefeld's infamously disproportionate art of Captain America, drawn as promotional material for Heroes Reborn."

-That's going to need a citation from Scioli, Road Ranger just looks like that, look at the toy in profile.

"* The shot of Leader-1 standing on the Command Center while lightning flashes in the background, meanwhile, pays homage to Frank Miller's iconic cover for The Dark Knight Returns #1."

-The frame in question looks almost nothing like the DKR#1 cover. Carry-All (talk) 17:58, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Spay-C as a Guardian?[edit source]

If Road Ranger's gang from #5 are "Others", surely so is Spay-C, who's floating around in space for almost all of the Guardians' existence in this continuity? Unless playing along for 24 hours somehow counts? Carry-All (talk) 23:40, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
