Jeff Segal is an American TV writer, story editor and producer. Much of his career was spent at Hanna-Barbera, including work on The Biskitts and SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Power Show before he worked on Challenge of the GoBots. After that he worked on another licenced property for the studio, Sky Commanders, and the much-derided Popeye and Son before creating Exosquad for Universal.

Segal also did some work in Japan as a Creative Producer for Tsuburaya on Ultraman: The Adventure Begins, and for Ishimori Pro on Cyborg 009: Legend of the Super Galaxy.

Challenge of the GoBots[edit | edit source]

Segal served as the creative supervisor and story editor for Challenge of the GoBots, where his job was to commission scripts and meld them into the series. Ooops! He worked closely with Kelly Ward in this capacity, and the pair were credited on no less than 31 of the 65 episodes. However, Michael Charles Hill, writer of "Gameworld", suggests this help might not always have been solicited... Segal also wrote the screenplay for the feature film GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords.
