The Machine Robo Series were a series of Gashapon kits produced by Bandai in 1985, inspired by the toyline of the same name.

The models were slightly smaller than their toy versions, and retained the ability to transform. While they came with some stickers the figures were cast in a single plastic colour with no real attempt to match the colour of the action figures; painting guides were included. Much of the engineering, such as the transformation pattern, was very similar to that of the full scale toys. They retailed at ¥150 each. The first series consisted of eight figures and the second of four, which included the three Devil Invaders.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Due to their simplicity the figures were bootlegged extensively, often in varying colours.
