Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Dump Robo (1983)
    • ID number: MR-09
    • Accessories: none
Dump Robo was the 9th figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to dumper truck in five steps. The figure features reasonable shoulder articulation but the chrome around the helmet can wear, meaning Dump Robo's head can be difficult to keep in place on worn examples.
  • Dump Robo was also made available carded from kiosks. The figure itself was unchanged.
  • The figure was later issued as the GoBots figure Dumper, with no changes beyond the omission of the extra sticker sheet, which means the American version is missing the arm and head detail decals from the Japanese release.

  • This version of the figure was exclusive to the Japanese market.

Machine Robo Series Gashapon[edit | edit source]

  • Dump Robo (Machine Robo Series, 1985)
    • ID number: 1
    • Accessories: none
A plastic model kit version of Dump Robo was issued by Bandai in 1985 as part of their Machine Robo Series line of Gashapon. Dump Robo was part of the first series and retained his ability to transform. The model very closely followed the transformation of the Machine Robo Series version; while it included some stickers for detail the kit itself was cast in a single colour of yellow plastic and would require extensive painting to look anything like the picture included on the leaflet.
  • The Gashapon figures were never issued outside of Japan.

Notes[edit | edit source]
