Did Destroyer come out as a GoBot?[edit source]

Has anyone ever seen even a picture of a boxed version of Destroyer? Because I've not. With all due respect to a guy who's forgotten more about toys than I'll ever know Alex Bickmore's ARCO GoBots section is a bit rudimentary (e.g. getting the names wrong) and the example pictured there is the only one I've ever seen with GoBots stickers. And Alex has a carded Snoop. I could be wrong here but you can find pictures of basically any boxed GoBots toy with a bit of Googling, aside from Destroyer. Which says to me either his release was very, very, very rare unlike the rest of the ARCO figures, which would probably warrant at least a note, or that a GoBots-branded release didn't make it that far and the loose, unstickered examples out there squeaked out in another fashion.Carry-All (talk) 22:09, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

I've been trying to find a clear picture of the packaging for a while now. I'm not convinced that the tiny photo on Alex's site actually has GoBots branding on the box. The design doesn't really resemble any other Arco toy boxes I've seen either, GoBots/Robo Machine or not. Sadly, the closest I've gotten is finding pictures of the Arco aircraft carrier in packaging, that one was sold under name "Future Cop" if you're curious.
As for the GoBot stickers, the one seen on CollectioDX has them. It won't let me add the link but it's very easy to find it. Ravenge (talk) 04:23, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
Good spot! So there's definitely more than 1 out there with the stickers (it's hard to tell but the port bow sticker seems to be placed ever so slightly differently, meaning they're two different examples). Agreed on the box picture on Toy Archive, and I can't find a single source that seems to refer to the toy independently of the Toy Archive.
I'm wondering at what point rewriting the toy section with these doubts becomes necessary. Argh, the Arco stuff is such a mess... Carry-All (talk) 09:14, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
