MRR have survived disasters, but now they have to survive the eccentric Gyro Robo.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
A hostage situation is taking place in the Granpard Building in America, where six heavily armed masked gunmen are holding a woman prisoner, planning to destabilise the economy. The police surround the building. However, their confusing plans are thwarted when Gyro Robo appears outside - though the debris caused by his blades is not well received by the police below, crushing a squad car. The hostage falls from the tower but is caught by Gyro Robo, who delivers her and the gunmen to the officers - and gets chewed out by the police chief for the damage caused. Oblivious, Gyro Robo flies away happily. Meanwhile that night at Machine Robo Rescue, Taiyoh has broken his K-BOY and heads to the hangar to ask the technical experts Susumu and Tsuyoshi to fix it. He finds them watching footage of Gyro Robo, and Makoto arrives, explaining that Gyro Robo is a new model of Machine Robo sent to America for testing due to the country's sky-rocketing crime. The patriotic Makoto begins arguing with Taiyoh until Alice breaks them up. Tokyo is then hit by a blackout - caused by a Gura Gorro leeching a hydroelectric powerplant at Sunrise Dam. The chief of the plant makes an emergency call to Rescue Headquarters, and Sasaki orders Blue Sirens into action. Having absorbed too much electricity, the Gura Gorro begins lashing out, causing further damage to the dam's systems - causing the gate to begin to open, threatening 60,000 nearby homes. Police Robo arrives and starts to fight the Gura Gorro; however, the absorbed electricity means it is able to prevent Makoto activating the Hyper Mode. Meanwhile the Utada twins search inside the power station for survivors. Back at Headquarters, Sasaki refuses to commit Red Wings to the battle - instead, he has called in help from elsewhere in the form of Gyro Robo.
Tsuyoshi reaches the control room and tells Susumu of the damage to the dam gate control system. Susumu plans to find the secondary controls but the dam's doors are all jammed from the Gura Gorro's attack, leaving him no option but to climb down the dam and find a way in from the outside. Despite his damage, Police Robo tries to block Gura Gorro from attacking Susumu. Just then Gyro Robo appears, and after a brief discussion catches Susumu before he falls from a ladder. He drops the cadet at the secondary control room before going to help Police Robo against the Gura Gorro. At Police Robo's suggestion, Gyro Robo activates a ZONE, allowing Susumu to begin work on closing the gates. However, inside the ZONE Gyro Robo is outmatched by the overpowered Gura Gorro until he suggests Susumu activate his Hyper Mode. Hyper Gyro Robo is then able to battle Gura Gorro with more success, though his efforts nearly rupture the ZONE. Susumu reminds him that the mission is to contain Gura Gorro, not destroy him. Hyper Gyro Robo is then able to calmly defeat the enemy as Susuma is able to activate the secondary gate controls. Despite their success, Gyro Robo is still reluctant to address Susumu as anything other than "boy", believing if he used his name it would acknowledge him as a Robo Master. Inside the dam manager thanks Tsuyoshi for the team's heroism, while Gyro Robo and his Helicopter Robo fly off, telling Susumu that they'll help again in the future.
