GoBots packaging[edit | edit source]
During the GoBot invasion, Enemy Messenger Blast launched a message ball containing the demand 'BEWARE' and then fired missiles. Friendly Messenger Rumble attempted to send a message ball saying 'SURRENDER' but, realising Renegades wouldn't listen to words, launched his own bomb. The two salvos collided in mid-air and harmed nobody but the world might not be so lucky next time.
Challenge of the GoBots cartoon[edit | edit source]
Multiple Guardian Boomers worked on both the construction of the new forest section of GoBotron and in gathering material from a barren planet, which they then turned into giant metal sheets for towing. One was even seen in its' robot form, and may have actually been Rumble. Mission: GoBotron

Boomer Vehicles[edit | edit source]
- Rumble (Boomer, 1985)
- Friendly Messenger
- Accessories: Messenger ball half (2)
- Designed by Tonka specifically for the third series of the GoBots toyline, Rumble turns from a grey and blue six-wheeled futuristic vehicle into a six-wheeled futuristic vehicle with a head and what might pass for arms sticking out the top. Rumble can move forwards in either mode thanks to a battery operated motor using two 'C' cell batteries. Pressing a button on the back of the vehicle causes Rumble to pop into his robot mode and fire his messenger ball over a short distance. Rumble is one of the few GoBots toys to use the Guardian faction insignia.
- Rumble was made available during the second series as part of the Boomers assortment (#7246) and remained available for the rest of the line's life on toy shelves.
- Rumble was simultaneously issued in Renegade colours as Blast.
- The toy was not released outside North America.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Though a Guardian Boomer was also seen in the Challenge of the GoBots episode "Terror in Atlantis" it didn't have a name or transform, and used Blast's colours.
- While GoBots got there first with Blaster, Transformers was there two years earlier with Rumble. Trademark law was less advanced at the time, clearly.
