Synopsis[edit | edit source]

ROC382.jpg

Grujios disguises himself as Jeep Robo and sneaks aboard the Battle Base. Later Rom, Rod Drill, Mask Rock, Battle Robo, Jet Transer, Pro Truck Racer, Drill Heli, Double Jet and Skyline Robo are lured into a trap by Asura, a new Gyandlar Demon Soldier, with Devil Rock, Double Rock, Bloody Rock and Amazon Rock; Skyline Robo is killed before they can escape. Returning to Battle Base, Rom wants to know how the Gyandlar knew of the secret mission. Kendō Robo points out that Heli Transer knew of the mission but instead of coming along went off to investigate the Dragon Waterfall, where Diondra is searching for the Lion Shield. Heli Transer vehemently denies the accusations and sets off to prove his innocence. Rom believes him but is convinced there is a spy in their camp - before news reaches him of Heli Transer setting off alone.

Most assume this means he is the traitor after all; Heli Transer subsequently arrives at the waterfall and offers to help Diondra search. He left a message with Dia Man asking Rom and the others to attack the waterfall in an hour's time; Battle Gyror is convinced it's a trap but Pro Truck Racer thinks it's genuine. Heli Transer shows the Gyandlar the ruins behind the waterfall complete with an inscription mentioning the Lion Shield. Diondra then betrays him and is about to kill Heli Transer when Rom appears with a squad, surrounding the Gyandlar. Baikanfu and Asura battle while Battle Gyror reveals himself to be possessed by Grujios - and thus the spy - before pulling a gun on Pro Truck Racer and Leina; Double Jet guns him down, much to Leina's distress. Min then arrives in the real Battle Gyror, Grujios having created a duplicate body and imprisoned the real thing. Baikanfu and Double Jet accidentally uncover the location of the Lion Shield behind the waterfall during the battle, in which Asura briefly has the upper hand over before Blue Jet and Heli Transer remove his arms, allowing Baikanfu to kill him. In the confusion Diondra takes the Lion Shield and escapes on the Varigale-X with Grujios. Spirits are low until Rom points out that while they have lost the Lion Shield they have gained trust with each other.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Errors[edit | edit source]

Continuity and plotting errors[edit | edit source]

ROC38BattleGyrorModel2.jpg
  • At the end Gadess is shown to have the Dragon Helmet rather than the Phoenix Armour.
  • Weirdly once Battle Gyror is exposed as an imposter his character model shifts to a different highly-stylised version, seemingly just to help the viewer tell which is which.

Animation and technical errors[edit | edit source]

  • As Drill and Drill Heli break out of the trap Amazon Rock can be seen with Rom's party.
