Carrier CG
Carrier CG (キャリアシージー) is a CG Robo.
He is one of the strongest CG Robo, able to carry practically anything in either mode. Carrier CG lugs energy for the other CG Robo around in his container and in robot mode can project the Hepta Beam, which gives his team-mates a seven-fold increase in power for a minute. Despite the large load he often carries his 10,000ps engine allows him to reach up to 150kmph in truck mode.
Fiction[edit | edit source]
CG Robo catalogues[edit | edit source]
Carrier CG started out as a toy tanker truck belonging to a Japanese boy named Koji before he was struck by a beam of CG energy, which bought him to life and gave him the ability to transform into a robot. Later, when a news bulletin of a fire came on the TV, Carrier CG and his team-mates grew to giant size and helped end the disaster.
CG Robo commercials[edit | edit source]
Carrier CG arrived along with Patrol CG, Fire CG, Rescue CG and 4WD CG on a barren and nameless planet, initially as a beam of light. He became fluid then a vehicle before converting to robot mode. The group spotted a menacing claw in the distance and followed Patrol CG into battle. CG Robo commercial
Toys[edit | edit source]
CG Robo[edit | edit source]
- Carrier CG (CG Robo, 1993)
- ID number: CG-04
- Accessories: Tanker
- Carrier CG was released in CG Robo by Bandai and converts from robot to Hina Profia container truck in 4 steps. The figure was designed by PLEX. Like all CG Robo, it has a "Change and Glow" (i.e. light and sound) feature - pressing down the lights in either mode causes them to flash and make an engine noise. Due to a clever transformation the truck mode is notably longer than others in the range. The toy features a large amount of stickers - including the cab and tanker trim, and wheel hubs. The tanker can be placed on the robot's back but the toy works without it; the stickers mounted on the spring-loaded tanker parts foul incredibly easily.
Robo Machines[edit | edit source]
- Mega Truck (Light and Sound Robo Machines, 1993)
- ID number: 04
- Accessories: Tanker
In Europe, some CG Robo figures were released as "Light & Sound Robo Machines" in the Robo Machines line. Carrier CG was renamed Mega Truck for the British market and featured an updated sticker sheet. Like all Robo Machines toys, the packaging included absolutely zero backstory for the figure.
