Colonel Hazard targets a communications airship as the canvas for his next masterpiece of chaos.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Sasaki and Blue Sirens are given a tour of a new state-of-the-art airship Uranos 2 by its' captain Tanimura. The ship is a vital part of the worldwide communications net, but the team are unaware that Colonel Hazard has disguised himself as a member of the crew and sneaked onboard. While the rest of the team heads to the bridge Susumu has to answer the call of nature, while an overexcited Tsuyoshi and Alice go exploring - much to the embarrassment of Makoto and Sasaki. They pick up Susumu on the way as Tamura explains the systems of the ship to Makoto and Sasaki. Just then Hazard arrives on the bridge, gassing everyone. Unaware of what's happening, it's Tsuyoshi's turn to attend to the toilet. Hazard meanwhile begins to muck around with the world's communications systems as the bridge crew watch, bound and helpless. At Rescue Headquarters, Taiyoh, Lin and Shō bemoan not getting to go on the airship when Sayuri receives an emergency call, which for some reason consists of a topless Hazard holding a bazooka, then in swimming trunks showing off his muscles, as a matador and riding a motorcycle. The video is being broadcast through every communications system on Earth, and he takes over the phone lines too - even those of Rescue Headquarters. Onboard Uranos 2 Hazard has a good chuckle about his plan to announce his disaster artistry to the world and wanders off to use the toilet. Tanimura is downcast, but Makoto and Sasaki insist that Machine Robo Rescue will be able to handle the crisis. Tsuyoshi overhears Hazard monologuing in the bathroom but is discovered and tied up as well. However, Hazard is under the impression that Alice is the only person still free on the ship, having missed Susumu earlier. Alice meanwhile realises something is up when her K-BOY has more strange pictures of Hazard on it, and Tsuyoshi is able to warn Susumu that something is up via their link.
Hazard chases Alice around as she keeps him busy while Susumu tries to use the airship's maintenance shafts to reach the bridge. Back at Headquarters the Machine Robo are finding themselves bombarded with Hazard's strange images too - though Submarine Robo finds them funny. Chief Bitou suggests that Machine Commander may be able to communicate with the Leader Robo effectively, so Submarine Robo, Police Robo and Jet Robo board the craft, with the cadets using their initiative to overcome the lack of communication systems. Susumu meanwhile reaches the bridge of the airship and frees the captives - just as Hazard finally catches Alice. Blue Sirens soon overwhelm Hazard but he blows a hole in the side of Uranos 2 and escapes. Communications are then restored before Hazard reappears on a Gura Gorro with BL Police Robo, deciding that if he can't take over the airship he will destroy it. However, Machine Commander then arrives and attacks the Disasters. Makoto and Police Robo take command of Machine Commander Robo, and Hazard responds by ordering BL Police Robo into Hyper Mode. The weight of Hyper BL Police Robo begins damaging the airship until Jet Robo knocks him loose, allowing Machine Commander Robo to blast the Disaster out of the sky. He is recovered and they retreat. However, the airship is losing altitude rapidly; Machine Commander Robo and Jet Robo are able to ensure it remains airborne before taking it to a safe location for repairs. Once the Uranos 2 is back in the air, Tanimura contacts Rescue Headquarters to thank the team for their efforts and offers them all a visit to the airship, immediately causing a huge argument about who gets to go and who has to remain on duty.

Quotes[edit | edit source]
"You're twins! Can't you pee at the same time?"
- —Alice asking the important questions.
"Okay my pretty, where are you?"
"First off it's gorgeous, not pretty."
- —Colonel Hazard finds Alice might be a match for his ego.
Notes[edit | edit source]
Continuity notes[edit | edit source]
- This is the first appearance of the BL Bike Robo, which aren't given an intro but were presumably duplicated by the Disasters in the same way as the other BL Machine Robo.
- Due to computer automation the Uranos 2 has a crew of three.
- Sasaki seems to have given up on even the concept of discipline outside of the self-disciplined Makoto, though to be fair Tanimura undermines him repeatedly.
- Colonel Hazard gives Makoto an electric shock when he mistakenly calls him Captain Hazard, and again when he corrects him calling Machine Robo Mechanic Robo. The red section of his hair is removable, revealing a mechanical brain. And his coat turns into a hang glider.
- Gadgets and Powers:
- Hyper BL Police Robo uses the Full Spin Wheel Bomber, which seems to be a dark twist on Hyper Police Robo's Backfire attack.
- Machine Commander Robo uses its' Mighty Punch, which seems to be a composite Finger Flash attack.
Real-world references[edit | edit source]
- Colonel Hazard refers to himself as the Picasso of world disasters.
Continuity and plotting errors[edit | edit source]
- Even in a goofy show like MRR it's a bit much that no-one recognises Hazard's distinctive hair even under a hat.
Animation and technical errors[edit | edit source]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- How long is poor Tsuyoshi in the toilet?
- No Machine Robo appear in the first half of the episode.
