Action Puppet

Action Puppets were a line of GoBots merchandise produced by The Toy Store.

The toys followed the same template as common novelties of the time - pressing in a panel at the bottom of the base of the figurine caused the robot to contort through a hidden series of strings; releasing the pressure caused it to straighten back up again. The GoBots examples, modelled closely on the toys, are notable for their attention to detail - even including things like rubber tyres, while the packaging strongly mimicked that of the carded figures.
