Synopsis[edit | edit source]

An injured Rom talks with Davy, Jet and Drill.

Rom, Leina, Blue Jet, Rod Drill and Triple Jim mourn at Kirai's tomb. Rom vows to honour his father by fighting off the Gyandlar and follows the Wolf Sword's directions to find the next threat to Cronos, summoning up his sentient car Battleflex for transportation. While Rom wants to undertake the quest alone, Jet and Drill decide to follow and help. Above the planet on the Gyandlar mothership, Gadess punishes Grujios for his failure but allows his lieutenant and the Devil Satan 6 another chance at finding the Hyribead, sending them down to find any buildings on Cronos with the Wolf Emblem. They soon find one at the city of Sado Fortress but Rom catches the Devil Satan 6 members at the gates. He struggles in the fight but insists Jet and Drill leave it to him; reluctantly they do so. Rom succeeds in driving the Gyandlar off, but is injured and collapses; they are taken into the city by Davy, father of the young Ziggy. Meanwhile, Leina and Jim have also decided to follow Rom on his quest and head towards Sado Fortress - but are intercepted and captured by the Devil Satan 6 before they reach the others.

Rom is recovering in the city when Grujios and the Devil Satan 6 arrive with their captives. The Gyandlar promise to leave the settlement alone if Rom, Jet and Drill are sent out; despite Rom warning the city folk that Grujios won't keep his word the inhabitants eject them, much to the distress of Ziggy and his young friend Rock. Sure enough once the travellers are tied to crosses and helpless, Grujios starts slapping Davy and everyone else around, trying to find out about the Wolf Emblem. While they're busy Ziggy releases the travellers, and with help from Battleflex, distracts the Gyandlar - but not before Rom falls down a ravine. There, he receives a vision from Kirai and returns inside Kenryū to save the city. After the Devil Satan 6 combine Rom summons Baikanfu and drives off the Gyandlar again. Rom returns to his comrades and agrees to continue his quest - but now with the help of his friends.

Featured characters[edit | edit source]

(Numbers indicate order of appearance.)

Machine Robo Gyandlar

Notes[edit | edit source]

The residents of Sado Fortress.
  • Kirai's tomb is the rocks that fell on him with the Wolf Sword emblem carved onto it.
  • Rom has a device on his wrist for summoning the Battleflex jeep; the vehicle has limited sentience itself. If it looks familiar, it's because it is based on Galoob's Power Machines Flex 7 toy.
