WalkingRobo
From GoBots Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to searchWalkingRobo was a short-lived series of remote control robots produced by Bandai in 1985. It seems to have only have ran to two figures.
It featured battery-powered radio-controlled robots which didn't convert. Instead the USP of the line was that due to a hyroscope-type mechanism (and, it must be said, huge round feet). Bandai used the catch-all nature of Robo Machine to put the pair out in Europe the same year. Then in 1986 the figures made it to North America as the Power Marchers.
- RK Type 1
- Issued in Europe as Raidor and America as Hitch Hiker.
- RK Type 2
- Issued in Europe as Dinosaur and America as Quick Step.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- It is unknown what relation WalkingRobo had to the unreleased GyroBots, which would have had a similar gimmick.
- The back of the WalkingRobo boxes gave helpful suggestions for things the robot could be used for. Raising an army seems to be one of them.
