Victora

Jump to navigationJump to searchVictora was a budget label owned by Popy, producing cheaper cruder versions of the company's toys for sale in train station kiosks, chemist counters, supermarket checkouts and other 'impulse' areas. During 1982 and 1983 they used the brand to make cheaper versions of selected Machine Robo figures. These still converted but were all plastic - and just one colour plastic at that. It is not known how many Machine Robo designs they turned into toys.
After Popy were reabsorbed into Bandai in 1983 the label seems to have been abandoned. Instead the company switched to using carded versions of the regular Machine Robo Series figures as cheaper kiosk versions, saving the money on packaging rather than the toys themselves.
