When old enemies rear their heads, it's up to the Guardian's allies to stop them.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
When the Guardians and Renegades fought near a prison, some unexpected damage to the prison walls allowed the mercenary Trident to escape. Seeking revenge on the Guardians, Trident gathered several human criminal who had opposed the Guardians in the past to form the Guardian Smashers. Trident's team recovered the mythical Horn of Gabriel and devised a way to amplify its destructive effects to a global scale. They held the world ransom and forced the Guardians to vacate Earth entirely.
Matt Hunter and UNECOM struck back by recruiting a group of humans who aided the Guardians in earlier adventures, forming the Guardian Auxiliary League. These humans fought back against the Guardian Smashers and destroyed the Horn of Gabriel. Leader-1 and the Guardians returned to Earth and were very impressed with their friends' heroism.
