Conceived for the Machine Robo line in 1985, Tai Chi Robo was a planned figure for the Martial Arts Robo range, designed when the toys were planned as (somewhat) conventionally converting figures, albeit of idiosyncratic design. His body would have been styled after what have become perceived as tai chi robes with Chinese-style decoration and a pair of canes that would have doubled as guns for the tank mode.
