1982[edit | edit source]
This story was conceived at the start of the Machine Robo project in 1982. There have been many other synopses, all based on the same story.
Romulus, the eighth planet in the Vega Nebula system, far from Earth. Romulus... It is inhabited by highly civilised humans. They were earthlings. No, they were... They were.... They certainly existed on Earth 3.2 billion years ago and had a more advanced civilisation than we have today. But they lived in peace. They were living in peace, when suddenly misfortune struck. They were attacked by the Dogra aliens. The Dogra aliens believed that all other species were inferior. They are fanatical and belligerent aliens who believe that all other species are inferior and evil. The Dogra aliens want to exterminate all life on Earth. The people of Earth, who had always understood each other and were at peace with each other had no reason to be armed. In an instant, the Earth was turned into a dead planet with no life by the evil Dogra aliens.
But before that, there were 182 men and women who had escaped in a spaceship. They were experts in their respective fields. They wandered through space looking for a planet to settle on. There was a generational change in the spacecraft. Finally, they reached the planet Romulus. They started a new life there. There are some things that modern science cannot explain, such as the huge bird-shaped airstrips we see today. It is the remnants of their civilisation. Before they left the earth, they threw seven "radiation capsules" into the mother sea, the source of life. The capsules were sealed with an "artificial protein" that would last 700 million years before the radioactivity spread by the Dogra aliens would dissipate. The capsule was set to open 700 million years later, when the radiation the Dogra aliens had sown would have disappeared.
After 700 million years, the artificial protein swam out of the capsules, and over the years, the cells split, some on land, some in the air. And now the hand of the Dogra aliens is about to reach the Earth once again. For 3.2 billion years, the Romulans have watched over their home, Earth. The Roms have devoted all of their scientific power to the construction of a huge base called Gazard Base, and have launched three high performance robots towards Earth. The Gazzard Base is a huge base where all their scientific power is concentrated. A Japanese boy would become important to the fate of the entire planet. This is the main character of this story, Takeru Akiba. He has to protect the Earth from the clutches of the Dogra aliens by working with Buddy, a powerful supercomputer in the base. The three robots have the voice prints of Takeru stored in their microcomputers, and they move according to his commands. In addition, the body is equipped with an "ionizer", a device that converts the molecular composition. It can change its size with a precision of 50 microns.
