The Robo Machine featuring the GoBots Annual 1987 was published in the United Kingdom by World International Publishing Limited.
Like the first volume it featured a mix of illustrated text stories and 'fact' or activity pages. The art was heavily sourced from promotional material for Challenge of the GoBots and the stories broadly followed the cartoon's continuity, with the odd flub here and there. Unlike the first annual the stories did at least have a loose over-arching structure. None of the creators involved were credited for their work, something of a trademark of World.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The stories treated Zod as making his first appearance, which is strange as elsewhere pains are made to reference the cartoon continuity.
- It is possible that Vestron Video's UK VHS release of "The GoBotron Saga" was used for research of the stories contained within, as it would explain the consistent portrayal of the Battle Suit as having a cockpit position in the head (as used by the Last Engineer in "Return to GoBotron"), the potent nature of the Monster GoBots and Royal-T becoming a Renegade (as briefly seen in "Flight to Earth").
