Ray Patterson
Raymond "Ray" Patterson (Born November 23, 1911, Hollywood, United States of America; died December 30, 2001) was an American director, animator and producer.
After starting his career as an inker for Krazy Kat before moving to work for Disney in 1940, contributing to the likes of Fantasia and Dumbo before becoming one of the regular animators for Donald Duck shorts. He moved on to MGM a year later, where he began working with Hanna-Barbera. Next Patterson worked for Walter Lantz before founding Grantray-Lawrence with Grant Simmons. After the company folded in 1967 he returned to the now-independent Hanna-Barbera, acting as Supervising Director for episodes of Super Friends, Godzilla, The Biskitts and many more.
He was then given a similar role for Challenge of the GoBots, and was director of the feature film GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords. He retired from Hanna-Barbera, and animation in general, in 1993.
