Challenge of the GoBots cartoon[edit | edit source]

The Power Suits and the Command Jet were devised by the Last Engineer for the Guardians to help retake GoBotron from the Renegade alliance of Cy-Kill and the Master Renegade. In order to combat Roguestar he commanded Leader-1, Turbo, Scooter and Small Foot to link their Power Suits to his spaceship, forming the Power Warrior Courageous. The mighty robot soon trounced the Renegade forces, liberating GoBotron. Return to GoBotron

Courageous subsequently became a key part of the Guardians' arsenal, helping fight threats including Ultra Zod, Sentinel and Puzzler.

Gobots Courageous Toy.jpg

Power Warrior[edit | edit source]

  • Courageous (GoBot, 1984)
    • Guardian Armored Robot
    • Parts: Spaceship, GB-P1, GB-P2, GB-P3, GP-P4, Fist (2), Rocket Pod Foot (2), Blaster stock, Blaster barrel, small Blasters (2)
The Courageous Power Warrior giftset includes all components necessary to complete the Power Warrior. The arms and legs are interchangeable, and the various parts can still hold a GoBot when combined. Courageous has movement at the shoulders and - just about - the hips, though the latter can easily lead to the figure overbalancing. The arms held in place by rails and the lower legs with spring-loaded clips. The smaller blasters can combine with the two parts of the larger gun to combine into a single weapon, or be attached to the robot's ankles. The colour scheme was exclusive to the North American market, and it is one of the few GoBots toys to feature the Guardian faction insignia.
Courageous was simultaneously issued in Renegade colours as Grungy in the same assortment (#7322).

PowerWarriors2.jpg
  • Nemesis (GoBot, 1985)
    • Renegade Armored Robot
    • Parts: 1 Tank, 4 Power Suits, 2 Feet, 2 Fists, 1 Blaster
The Nemesis Power Warrior set would have been a recolour of the Machine Robo Land Commander 5 battle suit system, made up of a transforming tank central torso, the same four Power Suits as Grungy and different feet parts. It was pictured in the 1986 Tonka catalogue and would have replaced Grungy in the Power Warrior assortment (#7322) but was ultimately unreleased as part of GoBots.
