Power Marchers
The Power Marchers were an assortment of action toys within the GoBots toyline, designed by Bandai and released by Tonka in 1986. They were radio-controlled robots that did not convert, instead walking through motors. The big selling point was that they were designed to traverse uneven terrain without falling over, thanks to the design of their legs and feet.
Toys[edit | edit source]
The Power Marcher toys were only issued in North America as GoBots. They were drawn from Bandai's WalkingRobo line that was unrelated to Machine Robo, and had already been released in Robo Machine as Walking Robots. The Power Marchers were among the larger figures in the GoBots range and had unusual packaging - a cylindrical polystyrene inlay with a paper and plastic sleeve. :Tonka gave the Power Marchers an assortment code (#7453), while both had an individual code as well. It is not known whether the latter was just for internal reference or if solid cases of the toys were offered to retailers.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The Power Marchers were released very late in the series and are among the rarest GoBots figures; however, as they don't convert, didn't feature in any fiction and generally don't fit in with the rest of the line the demand for them on the secondary market isn't very high, meaning they aren't very valuable.
- An early working name for the assortment was the Power Stalkers.
