Machine Robo Best 5

Machine Robo Best 5 was an assortment of Machine Robo toys issued by Bandai in 1983. It consisted of four boxed sets of five selected Machine Robo Series figures from the 30 released to that point. Each was given a new colour scheme - usually with extensive recolouring, though some only had updated sticker sheets; some of the revisions are best described as 'subtle'.

The sets retailed for ¥3000, which was the same RRP as five individual Machine Robo Series toys would have been anyway, though the recolours were exclusive to the sets and have remained that way. The box of each set was identical, with the identity of the contents contained on a paper obi-band. They are among the most expensive vintage Machine Robo figures on the second-hand market.
