Synopsis[edit | edit source]
The Algo Army count the cost of the Gurendos' electromagnetic missile attack on Crystal City at the Grand Whale. Patricia begs Ambulance Robo to help Buggy Wolf, but there seems to be nothing that can be done and she breaks down in tears. The Battle Hackers attend a briefing from RIM with the other Algo Army leaders. Mach Blaster is fuming and wants immediate revenge, but R. JeTan tells him they shouldn't do anything hasty. RIM agrees, and once again cites the legend of Baikanfu, of which Akira is dismissive. The computer has located the Gurendos' new artillery weapons, which will be moved to positions around the city if they can cross the main bridge. In the meantime R. JeTan leads Mach Blaster, Drill Crusher, Gattai Saurer, Twincam Jimmy and Akira out to fetch a restorative device that can revive those damaged by the electromagnetic missiles. Their approach is detected by Gakurandar, who sends Yasand with troops to stop them, but they run the gauntlet successfully. R. JeTan and Mach Blaster land near the settlement where it is guarded by Battle Rocks, and two of them get the jump on the pair of Battle Hackers, putting guns to their heads.
R. JeTan explains that they are not Gurendos. Akira and the others also arrive and are able to convince the Battle Rocks they mean no harm. The Battle Hackers team sets back out for Crystal City with the device in tow - unaware that the Gurendos are monitoring them through one of their insect drones. Gakurandar, Kariagen and Suji prepare an ambush. It is night by the time the Battle Hackers approach and the attack starts. R. JeTan and Mach Blaster hold off Gakurandar and most of the Gurendos, but a group of Teppodamans still chase the convoy. Gattai Saurer forms to shield them, taking damage and stopping to face the troops chasing them. Drill Crusher and Twincam Jimmy, ridden by Akira, find Kariagen and Suji blocking their path. Drill Crusher transforms to his rhino mode to battle them, leaving Twincam Jimmy and Akira to complete the mission. Meanwhile Yasand opens fire on the Grand Whale with the new artillery, rocking the headquarters. Jimmy and Akira return but are knocked by a near miss. Akira however finds inspiration in the legend of Baikanfu and drags the device to the Grand Whale himself as Mia, Zen, Luke and Patricia watch. He makes it back, and the restored Algo Army drives Yasand back. Akira is saddened by the seeming sacrifice of the Battle Hackers, but they arrive back at the Grand Whale, having fought through the Gurendos successfully.
