Fiction[edit | edit source]
The Robo Machines comic[edit | edit source]
After Stron-Domez's bungled assassination attempt and flight to Earth, the President of Robotron charged Ex-El with pursuing him in the Command Centre. He was joined by several Security Force volunteers and equipped with blueprints captured from Stronz-Domez's lab, allowing him to discover how to build shape-changing Robo Machines. As a result he was able to build Leader One, Dozer and Hans-Cuff on the journey, arriving in time to save what was left of the human village Cholkham. He agreed with Hans-Cuff that the orphan Charlie Bampton would make a good ambassador with Earth when the Command Centre was subsequently surrounded by the British Army. However, when the parley fell apart through a misunderstanding he blamed Hans-Cuff's emotional attachment with Charlie, believing his show of emotion was unfitting for a Security Forces member. Nevertheless he was happy to use Charlie to infiltrate Stron-Domez's factory in Westbridge with Night Ranger and then release the captive human workers with Truck. The Robo Machines, Story 1
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Ex-El was devised for the strip by Tom Tully and Mario Capaldi; once Leader One arrives his role generally scales back (he never leaves the Command Centre) and after the first storyline of the comic he disappeared without ceremony and was never mentioned again.
