Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Rom, Leina, Rod Drill, Blue Jet and Triple Jim are resting at an oasis when the Wolf Sword indicates the next stage of their quest is the town of Sunsua. The following morning they set out for the town, planning to leave Jim and Leina there while the others track the signal. However, they are ambushed on a mountain pass, finding their way blocked. The attack is made by Tomash, head of Sunsua - the villagers fear outsiders, but Rom is able to convince them they mean no harm, and the misunderstanding seems to be cleared up. However, when they get to Sunsua, Rom believes the villagers are behaving strangely and suspects Gyandlar involvement. He snoops around the village romtron mine and his suspicions are correct - he finds that Tomash and his fellow villagers are being forced to dig by the Devil Satan 6 and other Gyandlar troops. Rom springs into action, killing one of the guards, but is forced to surrender when One threatens to start killing the villagers if he doesn't give up.
Rom is soon missed, and Jet takes to the air. He soon spots Grujios heading towards the village and takes Drill to investigate. Left alone, Jim and Leina are captured by Tomash and his men; however Jet comes back and saves them. His spirit inspires Tomash to order his men to rise up against the Gyandlar. Rom contacts Leina through the Wolf Sword, allowing Drill to burrow into his cell and free him. He summons Kenryū while the villagers fight the Gylandar guards. Devil Satan 6 combine in response but are once again driven off by Baikanfu. Grujios then reveals the village is mined - but Drill has already found and disabled the explosives; Grujios is forced to call a retreat. Tomash then thanks Rom for freeing the village.
