Kodo was in command of a UNECOM satellite tracking station in Hawaii and was reporting to Matt Hunter when the base came under attack from the Renegade Screw Head. He put out a distress call to the Guardians which saw Leader-1 and Turbo arrive to drive off the Renegade; little did any of them realise this was just what the Renegades wanted - the far-flung position meant they were drawn away from the Command Center, where Cy-Kill and Crasher planned to steal the Power Suits.Scooter Enhanced
