Conceived for the Machine Robo Series, Biplane Robo would have converted from robot to Pitts Special aerobatic biplane.

- It is unknown if work on Biplane Robo went beyond the concept sketches published in Machine Robo Wedge. Which is a shame, as he looks like he would have been better than several of the figures Bandai hawked to Tonka for the final series of GoBots.
- A biplane of similar design is owned by Musashi Miyajima, as seen in the Machine Robo Rescue episode "Good Luck Taiyoh". However, this is more likely to the Pitts Special's fame rather than a reference.
