Alan Burnett

Alan Burnett (born February 17, 1950) is an American writer and producer of cartoons. Before Challenge of the GoBots he wrote for The Smurfs (eventually penning 60 episodes) and SuperFriends; since he has had a major role in just about any Warners series you'd care to mention, including Batman - The Animated Series, Freakazoid!, Superman - The Animated Series and Batman Beyond, not to mention DC's string of acclaimed straight-to-video animated movies.

His work on Challenge of the GoBots was largely restricted to the mini-series, which is a shame as he would likely have been a better showrunner than Jeff Segal. The again, who wouldn't?
