Vestron Video was a home video company founded in Stamford, Connecticut in 1981 by HBO executive Austin Owen Furst Jr. They were one of the pioneers of the home video market, and had a dedicated sub-label called Children's Video Library, making considerable inroads in the booming VHS market during the eighties, producing tapes containing cartoons and films such as My Little Pony, Muppet Babies, She-Ra - Princess of Power, Strawberry Shortcake and Challenge of the GoBots. They declared bankruptcy in 1992, and their assets were acquired by Live Entertainment (since absorbed into today's Lionsgate).
