Several Skyline Robo were among the Machine Robo army at Emerald City, though they never seemed to have much luck. One went along with Battle Robo and Missile Tank Robo to advocate for a more aggressive strategy against the Gyandlar. Rom Stol and Kendō Robo felt they didn't have the numbers but the trio then followed Pro Truck Racer out, getting attacked by Diondra. She dropped the cursed Demon Sword down, where it was grabbed by Tough Trailer. Skyline Robo watched as he ran through Double Rock and then sliced Devil Rock in half, before fervently stabbing his corpse. The sword's effect saw Tough Trailer then chase after Skyline Robo; he managed to keep out of the range of the sword until Rom, Pro Truck, Rod Drill and Blue Jet arrived and were eventually able to bring Tough Trailer under control. Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Skyline Robo (Machine Robo Series, 1984)
    • ID number: MR-42
    • Accessories: none
Skyline Robo was the 42nd figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to Nissan Skyline 200 RS Turbo car in 7 steps. The robot mode features ball-jointed shoulders and as both the joints and their housings are metal it is less prone to wear than some of the range. Like the rest of the range, the figure retailed at ¥600.
  • The figure was later issued as the GoBots figure Tail Pipe, in two versions - one with no significant changes and the other with a new Tonka-devised black/orange colour scheme. The figure was not released in the European or Australian markets for reasons unknown.
