Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Shuttle Robo (1983)
    • ID number: MR-14
    • Accessories: none
Shuttle Robo was the 14th figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to NASA Space Shuttle orbiter in 5 steps. A notable weak point is the tailfin, which is made from thin plastic and is often broken off loose examples. Shuttle Robo had articulation at the shoulders but the head cannot turn; while the nosecone rotates the head itself stays in the same position. Sadly, as Shuttle Robo uses a lot of white plastic the toy is prone to yellowing. Like the rest of the range, the figure retailed at ¥600.
  • The figure was later issued as the GoBots figure Spay-C, with no changes.

Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos (Action Toys)[edit | edit source]

Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Shuttle Robo (2017)
    • ID number: MR-07
    • Accessories: rifle, stand
Released as the seventh figure in Action Toys' Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos toyline, converting from stylised Space Shuttle to robot. Shuttle Robo has good articulation for the lost part, though his legs have a habit of popping off at the hip due to overly tight tolerances. The shuttle mode is more stylised than that of the original toy, more in line with exaggerated anime styling. Unusually for the series Shuttle Robo's gun appears to have actually been based on something extant - the generic rifle used by the character and other Machine Robo in "Gather All Machine Robo".
