The girls hit the town - and make an unlikely friend.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

MRRE44-014LinSayuriAlice.jpg

Lin, Alice and Sayuri are assigned to represent Machine Robo Rescue at the Kansai Disaster Prevention Festival along with the Drill and Gyro Teams. Taiyoh expresses surprise at just sending the girls and gets attacked by Lin. Kai tries to intervene and they both maul him instead. Everyone else just ignores them, though Makoto primly tells Alice she'll be representing Machine Robo Rescue so she mustn't do anything embarrassing, leading to the pair rowing loudly. Sayuri meanwhile exchanges polite bows with the rest of Yellow Gears. The instructors seem worried but just let it all go. As they travel to the festival in Gear Dump, Lin and Alice continue to air their dissatisfaction with Taiyoh and Makoto respectively before realising they've never seen Sayuri upset. As the Disasters base the Gura Gorros are chasing one of their number after it tries to run away before blasting it over the edge. Colonel Hazard is perplexed when he hears of the runaway. Deciding it's a traitor just like Jay and Stealth Robo, he decides it must be found and destroyed. At the festival in a baseball stadium in Kobe's Motomachi district Alice impatiently interrupts the politician delivering the team's introduction as Gyro Robo and Drill Team transform and show off. Typically Alice assumes the audience response is for her only and gets carried away, ordering Gear Dump to be transformed, meaning Sayuri and a furious Lin have to perform the physical work of converting it to Gear Dump Robo. The audience love it and Alice apologises afterwards. The trio spent the night with Lin's noisy, noisy family - much to the delight of Alice and Sayuri, who wish their parents were so happy to see them. The trio sit up that night and discuss their reasons for joining MRR.

Back at Rescue Headquarters, the Utada brothers are finding that the irritation Makoto usually directs at Alice is being taken out on them instead before they receive an alert of something heading towards Kansai before it disappears from the scanners. Miyajima suggests sending Lin, Alice and Sayuri to investigate. They find the Gura Gorro, but it collapses damaged before it can attack. While Lin and Alice are scared Sayuri believes it to be hurt and offers help. Lin remembers that Sayuri was chosen for MRR partly because she's a natural therapist, with the ability to calm anyone. She insists that the Gura Gorro needs rescuing, and the other two begrudgingly agree. As they work on him the Gura Gorro tells them of the bad conditions at the Disasters and while they carry out repairs it wonders where it will go. Alice suggests it joins Machine Robo Rescue, and the other two agree it would be an idea worth pursuing. Just then Hyper BL Police Robo appears with Hazard at the controls, having been sent to track the rogue Gura Gorro. It refuses to go back to Disaster and orders the girls to get away while it holds off Hyper BL Police Robo, but as it is still damaged the battle goes poorly. Just then Drill Robo and Gyro Robo appear, but without their Robo Masters or Supporter Robo they are less effective. Hyper BL Police Robo advances on the trio of girls preparing to incinerate them but the Gura Gorro blocks the attack before collapsing. The Bulldozer Robo arrive on scene and Sayuri - furious - requests permission for an EX Combination authorisation so they can be combined with Gyro Robo. Marie Bitou grants permission and EX Gyro blasts Hyper BL Police Robo over the horizon. The Gura Gorro finally expires, but tells the girls it is glad it met them and did something good with its' life, completing a salute before it dies. The Machine Robo and the cadets salute back, with Sayuri reflecting that the encounter shows that anyone can be saved.
