Masato Shimon (born January 4, 1944) is a Japanese singer. He started out working under the names Koichi Fuji and Akira Tani before recording the song "Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun" under his own name, a chirpy child-friendly folk ditty that was released in 1975 and went on to become Japan's best-selling single of all time. Most of his work was recording TV theme tunes, especially for anime and tokusatsu shows, and he is now retired.

Shimon performed "Shōri no Machine Robo", the opening theme for episodes 19-47 of Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos.
