Mario Capaldi (born in Glasgow, 1935, died 2004) was a British comics artist with a career stretching over 40 years, mainly working in the UK including the Carrie strip for Mayfair, strips for Battle Picture Weekly, Misty and scores more, not to mention licenced content for Thundercats, Care Bears and Captain Planet. He also painted the box art for the UK edition of Risk. His daughter Vanda subsequently wrote a book of poetry about his life, as well as organising an exhibition of his work at Middlesbrough's Dorman Museum.

He also drew the first six parts of The Robo Machines in Eagle.
