Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos was a series of plastic model kits produced by Bandai in 1986, inspired by the toyline of the same name. They were distributed with Morinaga & Company's Choco-Corn candy.

The models were slightly smaller than their toy versions. The four based on characters that could transform retained that ability, while the other four were figurines. Much like the previous gashapon range the former shared transformation patterns with their larger counterparts. The figures were cast in a single plastic colour with no real attempt to match the colour of the action figures; painting guides were included. They retailed at ¥100 each. One series of eight models was produced.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • This is the only way to get an officially released Gadess toy of any description.
  • Bizarrely there are tell-tale signs Ambulance Robo and Jet Robo are different moulds to those used in the previous series, though obviously both are very similar.
  • How Offroad Robo, who wasn't reissued for the toyline and only made a few fleeting appearances in the cartoon, wangled an appearance here is a mystery.
