Kendō Robo was the leader of the city of Emerald City, presiding over Karate Robo and Jūdō Robo along with the rest of the Machine Robo army in the city. He welcomed the arrival of Rom Stol, Blue Jet, Rod Drill, Leina Stol and Triple Jim to the city. While together they were able to repel a large Gyandlar attack the defence drained the ammunition supplies. Along with Heli Transer, he set out to a depot outside Emerald City to get more; they were ambushed by the Gyandlar Rocks but saved by Jim, who had come along to prove himself to Leina. The mission was a success, and the city held out - becoming a hub for the battle against the Gyandlar. Gather All Machine Robo He later joined Land Commander 5 and others in fighting off Garudi's Spider Machines. Attack, Land Commander 5! He was injured by Garudi when the Gyandlar and his men infiltrated the city onboard Tough Trailer; despite his injuries he was able to pass on vital information to Rom about Emerald City's computer core the aliens were targeted. 10 Seconds Before the Explosion! Despite the huge damage to Emerald City he was able to build a powerful Blazer Cannon for Rom, enabling him to save Pro Truck Racer. Fire! Big Blazer Cannon! Kendō Robo agreed with Rom that the Machine Robo were not yet in a position to take the battle to the Gyandlar - much to the displeasure of the rash Pro Truck Racer, Battle Robo, Skyline Robo and Missile Tank Robo. Curse of the Demon Sword Medusa Kendō Robo oversaw the construction of the Battle Base and moved his command centre onboard once it was completed. Save Amber Man, Blazer Cannon! He was later fooled by Grujios possessing a duplicate body of Battle Gyror, suggesting instead that Heli Transer was the cause of leaks. Raise Your Gun, Heli Transer! He oversaw the early stages of the attack on the Gyandlar mothership from the Battle Base until Dia Man drew the Wolf Sword from Header. He and Harley Robo set out to take it to Rom, whose own sword had been captured, but they were jumped by Grujios in Wrestler Robo's body. Before Kendō Robo could react the Gyandlar-possessed Machine Robo stabbed Harley Robo and escaped. Baikanfu - Cry of Anger! He was however able to move the Battle Base in, allowing the full Machine Robo forces to join in the fight Mighty Fortress, Heavenly Sword - Jet Don't Die! and played his part in the final defeat of the Gyandlar. Martial Arts Robo[edit | edit source]

  • Kendō Robo (1986)
    • ID number: MRC-4
    • Accessories: shinai (2)
Kendō Robo was the 4th figure in Bandai's Martial Arts Robo series, consisting of a folding Toyota Cecila patrol car and separate inner robot. The inner robot is styled after a Kendō bōgu uniform, and possesses superlative articulation for the period, with a turning head and waist, plus four moving joints on each limb, enabling it to effectively mimic many of the moves of Kendō. While shinai are wooden the ones included with the toy are chromed; presumably two are included so Kendō Robo can fence against other Martial Arts Robo, which is nice. Sadly due to his flared legs he cannot fit in the Riser Suits unlike the other Martial Arts Robo figures.
The figure was never released outside of Japan.

  • During the early stages of development for the Martial Arts Robo, Kendō Robo was one of the concepts tested that were considerably different to the final figures.
