Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Kaman Robo (1984)
    • ID number: MR-40
    • Accessories: Gyro Cutter
Kaman Robo was the 40th figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to Kaman SH-2 Seasprite helicopter in 6 steps. Kaman Robo has decent articulation in the shoulders and hips. While his rotor can be removed it doesn't need to be for his transformation, and despite the robot's hands having holes machined in them he can't brandish it as a weapon.
  • From 1986 onwards Kaman Robo was repackaged on a blister card. The figure itself was unchanged.
  • The figure was later issued as the GoBots/Robo Machine figure Flip Top, with no significant changes, but omitting the extra sticker sheet that included details for the helicopter mode. Which isn't the worst thing in the world, as those on the tailfins will not hold their shape and unfurl easily.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • A prototype version of Kaman Robo featured a different colour scheme, notably a yellow tail.
