Jay wants to enlist for MRR, but first he must find out if his motives are pure.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

At Rescue Headquarters, Chief Bitou signs numerous forms allowing Jay to re-enter society, but he says he wants to enlist in Machine Robo Rescue. He tells Jay it will take time to reach a decision - unaware that Lin has overhead everything said at the meeting. Meanwhile at the Disasters base, Kaiser-G tasks Colonel Hazard with destroying Stealth Robo before MRR can learn from its' systems. Lin meanwhile keeps her news to herself but Taiyoh already knows. Makoto is still hostile to the idea, believing that the Disasters' brainwashing could return at any time. Sayuri tells Taiyoh not to get too excited as Jay may feel he is obligated to join up instead of truly wanting to do it. Lin is conflicted, and suggests Taiyoh and Makoto try to find out what Jay really wants. Jay is visiting the battered Stealth Robo at the Machine AI Laboratory, where Professor Suidōbashi is struggling to access his systems. He spots Jay and assures him he will be able to fix the Machine Robo and turn him into a force for good. He asks Jay if he is just planning on joining MRR to get revenge on the Disasters, and despite Jay's denial it's clearly a factor in his motivation. Suidōbashi questions if that would be a good use of his strength, pointing out that kindness is a better motivation as he finds out in his everyday life as a wheelchair user. He tells Jay he should work out his reasons for joining MRR before he signs up. Lin meanwhile calls up Jun and accompanies him to an amusement park observation tower, asking him what he remembers of their encounter with Jay at the Machine AI Laboratory, asking if it was Jay that saved them. Just then BL Drill Robo appears and Colonel Hazard demands MRR hand over Stealth Robo - having set up motion sensors around the tower to negate his cloaking abilities, and planning to kill all in the tower if any other Machine Robo try to intervene. Jay runs out of the lab while Lin contacts Rescue Headquarters from the tower, where she is trying to help those already wounded. Low on options, Chief Bitou allows Red Wings and Blue Sirens to head in without their Machine Robo. Jay is already there, and hearing Junichi Mizushima plea for his son's safe return reminds him of his own parents' devotion to his safety. Sayuri meanwhile locates an underground shaft that might allow the cadets to reach the observation tower unseen, but it will mean a careful 200-metre climb (or 203 metres and 40 centimetres, as Daichi unhelpfully clarifies) without setting off the motion sensors. Jay meets the cadets and insists that he do it, with Taiyoh eagerly volunteering to join him, though Makoto asks Jay if he's truly up to it.

Over her K-BOY Lin asks Jay why he saved them at the Machine AI Laboratory, and despite his vague answer she tells Jay she believes in him. Jay and Taiyoh tether themselves together and prepare to climb. Fed up of waiting, Hazard sends a colony of Gura Gorros to terrorise those in the viewing tower, injuring Lin. Jun tries to stop them but they lift him up and drop the boy over the side - just as Jay and Taiyoh reach the platform. Taiyoh leaps after Jun and catches him, with Jay using the rope to break their fall with help from Lin. As they winch the pair to safety Hazard spots them and sends Hyper BL Drill Robo to destroy the tower, which to topples before anyone can evacuate. However, it is caught by Stealth Robo, who tries to hold it level as BL Drill Robo attacks him. Professor Suidōbashi tells Chief Bitou that he was unable to dissuade Stealth Robo from going as BL Drill Robo begins to burn out the Tank Robo. As they evacuate the hostages Jay begs Taiyoh to help Stealth Robo when Jet Robo and Machine Commander Robo arrive, everyone having been too busy to watch the motion sensors. Machine Commander Robo takes over holding the tower while Taiyoh asks Chief Bitou for permission to perform an EX Combination, allowing the Sky Robo to boost Stealth Robo. He creates a ZONE and the speed Jet Robo has lent him gives him the upper hand and destroys the BL Machine Robo. Taiyoh, Lin and Jay complete the evacuation and Jay tells Jun his strength is impressive. Junichi thanks Jay for saving his life, as does Lin. Jay and Stealth Robo decide to use their power to help people from now on, and their enlistment request is accepted
