  • GoBots Collector's Case (1984)
Produced by Tonka themselves, the Collector's Case is a plastic case for carrying GoBots toys around. Made of plastic, it has a hinged lid featuring a scene of Cy-Kill and Cop-Tur battling Leader-1 and Spay-C on a grid, with the Command Center in the background; this is held in place by plastic clips. Inside it is split up into 16 compartments - two rows of six small sections and one row of four larger ones. While it is primarily intended for carrying the 'regular' GoBots figures some Super GoBots can fit in the bottom row. The case also came with a sheet of stickers listing the names of the figures released up to that point (the first 55 figures up to Bad Boy, and including Snoop; four blank labels were also included), so they could be added to the partitions if so desired. Naturally this sheet is often missing from second hand examples.
  • The Collector's Case was first made available alongside the second series of GoBots in its' own assortment (#7242) and continued to be available throughout the line's life. It is not currently known if the sticker names were updated as the release went on.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Theoretically, as the case seems to have been designed by Tonka specifically for GoBots, Hasbro have the rights to this thing now.
  • The case managed to avoid getting roped in as an additional character in Renegade Rhetoric.
