Machine Robo[edit | edit source]

Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Cessna Robo (1984)
    • ID number: MR-31
    • Accessories: none
Cessna Robo was the 31st figure in Bandai's Machine Robo Series and transforms from robot to seaplane in 5 steps. Cessna Robo has a compact and interesting transformation, good articulation in the shoulders and decent durability. Initial examples of Cessna Robo featured a white chest, but this version was rapidly phased out as a running change in favour of the much more common blue chest version. Like the rest of the range, the figure retailed at ¥600.
  • The figure was later recoloured as the GoBots figure Water Walk, with a new orange/tan colour scheme. The Robo Machine version of Water Walk retained the Japanese colour scheme, however.

Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos[edit | edit source]

Machine Robo Series[edit | edit source]

  • Cessna Robo (1986)
    • ID number: MRJ-8
    • Accessories: none
Cessna Robo was reissued for the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos toyline in updated packaging. The figure was assigned to the Jet Tribe, and featured no changes from the blue chest Japanese release.

Notes[edit | edit source]

The early "white chest" version of Cessna Robo.
  • Despite the character's name the vehicle mode is based on no known Cessna; indeed, jet-powered seaplanes are rare full-stop.
  • Cessna Robo's animation model retains the white chest of the initial release in aircraft mode, but not robot mode.
