Synopsis[edit | edit source]

ROC1402.jpg

The Wolf Sword leads Leina Stol, Rom Stol, Blue Jet, Rod Drill and Triple Jim through a forest full of hostile vegetation, which Leina requires saving from, and hostile natives. Rom defends the group and finds out one of their young attackers is female. The group set a trap for the pair in the night - the girl is Kina and the boy is Koron, from a tribe of wild warriors. The pair claim Rom killed their father, and he realises they are the children of Jingi and admits he did kill him, but in an honourable duel. Kina and Koron then run back off into the forest, with Rom and Jet giving chase while Drill stays behind to protect Leina and Jim. The pair had been put up to the attack by the Gyandlar Diondra, who plans to use them to lure Rom towards a super-hot volcano and his death - much to the displeasure of Grujios, whose own plans have been overruled by Gadess. However, Rom comes across their hideout and seemingly drives them off, only for Kina to attack him again. Rom once again bests her, and she begs him to kill her. Instead Rom lets Kina go free - he feels empathy with her desire to avenge her father, which reminds him of his own quest to honour the memory of Kirai Stol.

After Rom rejoins his friends Kina appears again and offers to show them the location of the Wolf Emblem the travellers were searching for, in order to repay Rom for saving her life twice. The others think it is a trap but Rom presses on. Kina tells them the Wolf Symbol is on top of the volcano but is injured by a volcanic stream; Rom stays to help her while the others climb on. She then attacks him, trying to force him into the same stream, but Rom reasons with her successfully. She then saves the group from a trap set by Koron before running off just as Diondra reappears. Kenryū makes short work of the Gyandlar troopers but at Diondra's bidding Kina and Koron combine into a huge mechanical bull called Jingi Mark 2 and attack. Rom refuses to fight the siblings initially but is forced to counter with Baikanfu, battling the bull and being saved from falling into the volcano itself by the timely arrival of Battle Rocks. Kina finally realises Rom is noble, and sends the bull crashing into the lava. Her plan ruined, Diondra escapes while Rom reflects on Kina's death.

Notes[edit | edit source]

ROC1404.jpg
  • Rom can shrink his body inside his armour to avoid expected knife blows.
  • Kina and Koron have bodies which can withstand the heat of over a thousand degrees. The Battle/Jet Tribe Machine Robo are affected more quickly by the volcano's temperatures - though Rod mainly just feels hungry, obviously.
  • Rom uses the Fist of Heaven Fire Dragon Foot attack on Diondra's goons - it involves him kicking really quickly and then some flames shaped like dragon heads knocking down his opponents.
  • Jingi is briefly seen in flashback and then at the end very briefly as his kids die, while the Gyandlar still have his corpse.
  • Blackbird Robo is randomly seen transforming and flying off in the opening shot; he later turns up again briefly to illustrate how hot the volcano is when he flies into a plasma stream and his face explodes.

Errors[edit | edit source]

Continuity and plotting errors[edit | edit source]

  • Battleflex is in a few of the early forest shots before disappearing.
