Battle Gyror was part of in Bandai's Dash Robo series issued in the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos toyline, converting from helicopter of indeterminate model to robot. The toy features a friction motor in vehicle mode, and can move when placed on the base in robot mode. As well as the friction motor Battle Gyror has a working winch in vehicle mode; the winch can still be accessed in robot mode on the figure's back. With two shoulder joints, elbows and hips Battle Gyror is one of the most articulated figures of the period.

  • A yellow prototype version of Battle Gyror was featured in several catalogues before Bandai just went with the GoBots colour scheme.
  • The character is the only member of the Dash Robo to appear in the cartoon.
