Battle Gyror (バトルジャイラー) is a Machine Robo from Cronos, and a member of the Jet Tribe.

Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos cartoon[edit | edit source]

Battle Gyror was part of the Machine Robo army stationed at the Battle Base. However, he was kidnapped by the Gyandlar and replaced with a duplicate controlled by the disembodied Grujios. He used the duplicate body to leak information about various Machine Robo operations to the Gyandlar, while also throwing suspicion on Heli Transer. However, Grujios was flushed out by Rom Stol and Min found the real Battle Gyror; once freed, he flew her to the Dragon Waterfall to help stop the Gyandlar's plotting. Raise Your Gun, Heli Transer! He was part of the Jet Tribe squad led against the Gyandlar mothership by Blue Jet. Power Riser, Break Through the Enemy! The group got pinned down by the Gyandlar Devils and the ship's defensive weaponry; Battle Gyror attempted to make a breakthrough but took heavy damage. He then made the choice to plunge into the Gyandlar mothership despite a hail of fire, blowing a hole in it at the cost of his own life - allowing Jet, Rod Drill and other Machine Robo to get inside and save Rom and Leina. Baikanfu - Cry of Anger!

Battle Gyror was part of in Bandai's Dash Robo series issued in the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos toyline, converting from helicopter of indeterminate model to robot. The toy features a friction motor in vehicle mode, and can move when placed on the base in robot mode. As well as the friction motor Battle Gyror has a working winch in vehicle mode; the winch can still be accessed in robot mode on the figure's back. With two shoulder joints, elbows and hips Battle Gyror is one of the most articulated figures of the period.

  • A yellow prototype version of Battle Gyror was featured in several catalogues before Bandai just went with the GoBots colour scheme.
  • The character is the only member of the Dash Robo to appear in the cartoon.
