4WD CG (ヨンクシージー) is a CG Robo.

He excels on mountainous terrain and this reflects in his rough-and-ready personality. In robot mode his lights can project a beam known as the Crushing Loader, effortlessly levelling whatever landscape is in front of him. In vehicle road he can generate 4500ps and reach 200kmph.

Fiction[edit | edit source]

CG Robo catalogues[edit | edit source]

4WD CG started out as a toy 4WD truck belonging to a Japanese boy named Koji before he was struck by a beam of CG energy, which bought him to life and gave him the ability to transform into a robot. Later, when a news bulletin of a fire came on the TV, 4WD CG and his team-mates grew to giant size and helped end the disaster.

CG Robo commercials[edit | edit source]

4WD CG arrived along with Patrol CG, Fire CG, Rescue CG and Carrier CG and 4WD CG on a barren and nameless planet, initially as a beam of light. He became fluid then a vehicle before converting to robot mode. The group spotted a menacing claw in the distance and followed Patrol CG into battle. CG Robo commercial

CG Robo[edit | edit source]

  • 4WD CG (CG Robo, 1993)
    • ID number: CG-05
    • Accessories: none
4WD CG was released in CG Robo by Bandai and converts from robot to Suzuki Jimny 4x4 in 4 steps. The figure was designed by PLEX. Like all CG Robo, it has a "Change and Glow" (i.e. light and sound) feature - pressing down the lights in either mode causes them to flash and make a siren noise; presumably 4WD is meant to be a mountain rescue vehicle. The toy features a large amount of stickers - including the wheel hubs, trim, sunroof and headlights.

Robo Machines[edit | edit source]

Light & Sound Robo Machines[edit | edit source]

  • Rough Rider (1993)
    • ID number: 05
    • Accessories: none

In Europe, some CG Robo figures were released as "Light & Sound Robo Machines" in the Robo Machines line. 4WD CG was renamed Rough Rider for the British market and featured an updated sticker sheet. Like all Robo Machines toys, the packaging included absolutely zero backstory for the figure.
